Smart Send enables you to schedule your mail-out based on the best likelihood that your campaign will be opened by your subscribers. Most email newsletter marketing software just sends your newsletter at a given date and time, but not all subscribers are going to open your campaign at the same time. Thus we’ve created Smart Send.
If you’ve scheduled a campaign through our system before then we’ve captured, for all your subscriber, what day and what hour your campaigns are being opened. If your last mail-out was scheduled on a Monday but a specific subscriber didn’t open your newsletter until Wednesday, well the system knows that the subscriber prefers to receive the newsletter on a Wednesday rather than Monday. The same goes with the time of day. If you’ve previously scheduled your mail-out to be sent at 8AM but a specific subscriber didn’t open it until 3PM, again our system has captured this subscriber’s preference.
When you schedule your next mail-out be sure to enable the Smart Send feature. You have two options when enabling the Smart Send feature, “Send within 24 Hours” and “Send within 7 Days”.
When sending with “Send within 24 Hours” your mail-out will be sent to all subscribers within 24 hours but the system will match the time of day the subscriber likes to read your campaign and send it at that hour.
Alternatively, sending with “Send within 7 Days” allows the system to also calculate the best day to send your newsletter. With this option each subscriber will receive your newsletter on his or her preferred day and time.
If you’re emailing to a Global audience then you can see how this feature can really benefit the likelihood that your newsletter will be open as soon as it is received. If a newsletter sits in a subscriber’s Inbox for days or hours then the likelihood of your newsletter being opened is decreasing.
